TOURS

Although not mandatory, gratuities are greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%. Tips for the establishments visited on the tour are included in the ticket price.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer tours on Sundays or public holidays. Most businesses in Downtown Christiansted are closed on Sundays – including three of our six tasting locations – making it a challenge to run our tour on this day.
The same goes for public holidays where many businesses are closed.

Yes, we offer alternative tasting options for vegetarians. Please notify us of your dietary restrictions when purchasing your ticket.
Vegan participants will only be able to sample a small number of the food tastings on our Taste of Twin City Food Tour. We do not suggest our tour as a suitable activity for those following a strict vegan diet.

Our tours last from 2 and a half to 3 hours. Guests should expect to be standing or walking for most of the tour, however there will be places to sit at most of our stops. We will cover 1-1.5 miles on the tour route.

Absolutely! Private tours must be for 6 or more guests. Simply email us to set up a private tour.

Our Taste of Twin City Food Tour offers enough food to be a satisfying lunch that will not leave you hungry (for most people).
Keep in mind that our food tours are not intended to replace breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner combined, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour.

The Taste of Twin City Food Tour includes two drink tastings during the tour: one alcoholic beverage and one non-alcoholic beverage. For those who do not drink alcohol, please advise us when purchasing your ticket and an alternate beverage will be provided.
Additionally, two of our tasting locations provide water for guests. We recommend bringing a bottle of water to remain hydrated throughout the duration of the tour.

We highly recommend taking the Taste of Twin City Food Tour at the beginning of your visit to St. Croix. Doing so will help you become familiar with the island’s customs and culture as well as learn about all the local foods you’ll be sure to enjoy throughout your entire visit. No, our Taste of Twin City Food Tour does not finish at the same location as the meeting point. However, detailed instructions are provided after ticket purchase with the starting location and all participants will receive a map with return directions at the beginning of the tour.
If you’d like to continue exploring downtown Christiansted or return to our tasting locations to redeem your exclusive Virgin Islands Food Tours coupons, our guides are prepared to direct you to any location in the downtown area you would like to go.
Additionally, there will be a number of taxis in the area to get you back to your hotel, resort, vacation rental or the cruise terminal after the tour.

Yes, there is plenty of street parking near the starting point of the Taste of Twin City Food Tour. We will provide specific parking details upon the purchase of your tickets.

Because of our pre-arranged timing for our tour stops, we kindly ask all tour guests to reserve their desire to ‘shop til you drop’ for after the tour to ensure that we arrive at all of our tasting locations on time.

All tickets purchased for our Taste of Twin City Food Tour and Christiansted Sip & Savor Mixology Class can be rebooked or cancelled up to 48 hours before your scheduled excursion.
No refunds will be issued within 48 hours of the tour. If you would like to rebook within the 48 hours before the tour, you will be charges a 15% rebooking fee.
Tours may be cancelled due to severe inclement weather (such as a hurricane or thunderstorms). In these rare cases, we will reschedule your tour or refund your ticket purchase.

Children are always welcomed, however the length of the tour is 2.5-3 hours long and may be difficult for children with limited attention spans. Parents should assess their children individually when determining if a food tour is suitable for them.

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations. Your tour guide will remind you at various stops on the tour where bathrooms are available for use.

Our Taste of Twin City Tour is held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to enjoy the tasting inside of the various establishments on the tour. We also provide ponchos in case of sudden weather changes or if you do not have your own umbrella. Please be sure to check the weather conditions on the day of your tour and dress accordingly.
If severe inclement weather such as a hurricane occurs, we will gladly reschedule your tour or refund your ticket purchase.

Yes, we only offer tours in English at this time. Please contact us if you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour.

You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. If it looks like rain, we can provide you with a plastic rain poncho.

Yes, all guests must purchase a ticket whether they plan to participate in the food tastings or not. Non-paying individuals will not be able to join the tour for any reason.

Our Taste of Twin City Food Tour tickets included all food and drink tastings, a guided tour and exclusive tasting location coupons. Your professional tour guide will offer insightful commentary on the history, architecture and culture of St. Croix and the Downtown Christiansted area along the tour route. Gratuity is not included in the ticket price.

Yes. If for some reason your ship does not come to port in St. Croix, we will refund your ticket purchase within 48 hours.
